Charlize Theron has publicly revealed herself to fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe through her Instagram page.
As you can see at the bottom of the article, the Oscar-winning actress has published two images taken from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness's post-credit scene, one depicting her makeup on set and another showing her alongside the Doctor. For those who want clarification, at the end of Sam Raimi's new film, it is revealed that Charlize Theron will play Clea in the MCU: even if her character never reveals her name neither to Stephen Strange nor to the spectators, several rumors had anticipated her presence in the film and now the actress has definitively confirmed the identity of her superhero with the official post published on her own channels.
For the uninitiated, Clea in the Marvel comics is Dormannu's niece, born from a clandestine relationship between Umar, the sister of the ruler of the Dark Dimension, and Prince Orini, heir to the throne of Dormannu: in the course of its editorial history Clea she was abandoned by her mother and for many years she ignored her ancestry, and between one adventure and the other she met Doctor Strange and had a relationship with him. It will be interesting to find out what her story will be in the MCU and what role Marvel Studios have thought for Charlize Theron, who will evidently return for the not yet officially announced Doctor Strange 3.
