In the cinematic world, every film has an interesting story that happens behind the scenes. One such story is of Vishwak Sen's new film 'Gangs of Godavari', which is releasing this Friday. You will be surprised to know some things hidden behind this film.
Director Krishna Chaitanya, in a recent interview, told how this film started and what twists and turns it faced.
Krishna Chaitanya said, "The idea of Gangs of Godavari was first shared with Anand Ramaraju. We started working on it together. Sharwanand was first chosen for the film. But Sharwanand's last film was an emotional drama, so he requested to put this project on hold for a while."
This decision was a big blow to the director. "Another film of mine was also put on hold and I was afraid that there would be a lot of gaps in this project as well," Chaitanya said. But nothing is permanent in the world of cinema. As soon as Sharwanand put the film on hold, the director narrated the story to Vishwak Sen.
"Vishwak heard the story and loved it instantly. His approval has given life to the project," Chaitanya happily reveals. The film stars Neha Shetty and Anjali in the lead roles and is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music for the film.
The question now is whether Sharwanand's decision was right or not. Did he miss a great opportunity, or will this film prove to be a new milestone in Vishwak Sen's career?
The audience in the theatres will know the answer this Friday. 'Gangs of Godavari' is not only full of action and drama but also shows how decisions taken at the right time can change the course and fate of a film.
Through this story we also learn that in the film world, both opportunities and failures are uncertain. Something new can happen every moment and we should be prepared all the time. 'Gangs of Godavari' is not just a film, but a story of struggle, hope and success.
