The film's plot: "Kalki 2898 A.D." takes us to a dystopian city of the future called 'Kashi', the last urban center in the world. The ruler here, Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan), is preparing to create a new world and for this, he has built a breeding laboratory. Performance: Prabhas is wonderful as Bhairava. His performance is lively, and his digital companion Bujji, voiced by Keerthy Suresh, adds a cute and entertaining element to the film. Prabhas has adapted his image well as Bhairava and his second role in the film is also commendable, which is a pleasant surprise.
Amitabh Bachchan's character of Ashwathama is the main strength of the film. His presence and minimal dialogues are impressive. The confrontation scenes between Prabhas and Amitabh look amazing on screen and are definitely a source of cinematic delight.
Deepika Padukone has done a wonderful job making her Telugu cinema debut as Sumati (SUM-80). Her character is full of deep emotions and conflicts, which she has portrayed brilliantly.
Kamal Haasan has given his best as Supreme Yaskin. The depth of his character and dialogue delivery make him an impressive antagonist.
