The announcement of Ram Charan's much-awaited film Game Changer, which is scheduled for Christmas 2024, and the confirmation of Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 for December 6, has forced the producers of Nithin and Naga Chaitanya's films to rethink their release strategies.
Thandel producer Allu Arvind has decided to shift the release of Thaandel to early 2025. This strategic move aims to avoid competition with any big release and maximize Thaandel's box office potential.
On the other hand, Nithin's Robinhood will now premiere in February 2025. Mythri Movie Makers has stated that this decision will provide more time for promotional activities and ensure a clear release window. However, if Pushpa 2 is already doing well, getting the right screens available for Robinhood could become a challenge.
The biggest concern for filmmakers and distributors is that if Game Changer fails to release on its scheduled date, changing the release dates of Robinhood and Thandel could be a big mistake. Last year, the release date changes of Salaar and Animal significantly affected Tollywood's December releases.
